Cant say if everything is coconut oil. But for my wife and me, go to dishes are pad thai, thai grilled combo, and kang keo wan (though the last one is pretty spicy)
I would imagine no later than 9pm given that they close at 10pm. I would practice consideration on that one.
Yeah I think the order min is $25/$30 plus delivery. Good for more than one person as you can probably get to the minimum w two entree and an appetizer or something else. I could only get to about 20 bucks before the guilt set in hahaha place is worth the visit though!
This little place is a great place to eat, the sake was delicious, and the pad Thai was splendid. The orange chicken was also good and the white wrapped spring rolls were also very delicious. The waiter was very attentive, and he was also friendly which is a lost art nowadays.
Very good spring rolls. Their sauce is a little thick. Food is good, beware the spice!
Service and food quality was better when they are not as busy. Have ordered the Sushi Nachos everytime we go and this time it was like we received half an order. Thought it was weird that I ordered a speciality tea(ginger lime tea) and it comes from the restaurant nextdoor (Bun and Barrel). For six dollars you would think they would take it out of Bun and Barrel's container and pour it into another glass.
Amazing food! Loved the atmosphere! Definitely going back!
Some of the best Thai food I have eaten. The green curry is outstanding!!! Public service announcement when you ask for spicy please understand that the level of spicy when you say hot is just that!!! But with their amazing iced Thai Tea it's a burn worth having!! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Please go by and see them if you are in the mood for Thai food!!!
Love this place! Food is always amazing. The bar is always on point. Staff is beyond great. And you leave happy! Extra bonus for the great outdoor area and cleanliness of the restaurant. Besides being an Alamo Heights staple, it is a necessity.
I've been eating here for year and normally I love it. However, the servers they have come out to your car now (since the Coronavirus outbreak) are not very knowledgeable and don't provide as great customer service. One didn't know how to look up my order and tried to charge me for chilli sauce, and another didn't know the difference between chilli sauce and sriracha. Also, the prices of everything I normally order have gone up by $2-3 per item compared to pre-corona prices. Food for thought: a pandemic in which people are struggling financially is not the time for you to abruptly raise prices. My totals are coming out to about $10 more than usual based on my past receipts. I'll be back as soon as you guys come to your senses, but for now you have lost a years-long customer. This is not the way to handle things unless you want to lose business.
Great sushi, awesome cream cheese puff wraps, the crab rice was amazing, and they had a strawberry cheesecake boba tea that was to die for...not to much a fan of the balls in my frozen drink, but it was definitely tantalizing!🤪
Absolutely amazing Thai food! Everything was perfect. The food is delicious and authentic. The building and decorations are beautiful. The customer service was excellent. They even have boba tea!
This was my wife and I’s first time here. The Pad Thai was a very mushy, and frankly mad it sort of gross. Worst in town yet by far, but hopefully a one off for them. The Panang Chicken was good, but you can certainly find better. What was good was the spring rolls.
Lovely restaurant with outdoor seating, comfortable booths, and a full sake bar. The sushi is handmade to order with beautiful presentation and fresh ingredients. All servings are huge! The servers are dressed in Thai inspired uniforms. All staff members were kind and attentive.
Food is delicious, environment is calming worldy ethnic vibes. So far nice staff. This restaurant also delivers w/ Flavor &Postmates delivery service. Nothing but positive vibes to this place. I hope they always continue to deliver great food and service.
The food this time was mediocre but has been very good in the past. Hopefully it will get better soon.
Quality Meals at this location - super tasty. Nice place to think about business. I'll return with my coworkers. The bill was good for how much you get.
Best boba around. Especially love the curbside orders
This place is absolutely amazing! I'm glad my sis chose this place. Anyone who says different Durant know anything about Thai! Ha! From start to finish, everything was just great! The professionalism of customer service to the ambiance to the food was top notch! I got to Thai tea Boba! Amazing! Tried my sister's jasmine tea served in cast iron- so awesome! We had the Spring rolls in a peanut sauce! Just delicious! I had the Panang curry which was amazing! I added mushrooms to it. My sister had the seafood soup, mom had the green curry. The food was so scrumptious!!! 😋 Later we had the coconut ice cream! Yummy. Our server Kay, was so delightful and wonderful! Thank you so much Kay for great service and a terrific time! The decor in the restaurant and outside is so beautiful! I luv this place! Going again and again! No matter how far! 🤗
Haven't eaten here in years so I decided to give them another try. Ordered the spring cheese rolls and sesame "chicken." The chicken is in quotes because it's mostly a soggy, breaded product whose texture, nor taste did not resemble that of quality chicken. The wrappers for the rolls were extremely stale and inedible. I now know why I stayed away for so long. Definitely won't be returning again.Edited to respond to owners-My apologies if my expectations of fresh, quality food was unreasonable. 🤷🏾♀️ I eat out often and packaging hasn't been an issue for other places. Additionally, I literally ate from the containers while I was still in the parking lot. Condensation was of no correlation. The food was just old and stale. Don't make excuses, just make improvements. You're welcome for this honest feedback! 🤗
One of my favorite to go places. The food is delicious and affordable. I highly recommend it
This restaurant is one of the best Thai Restaurants in town. Food was fresh, service was outstanding, and atmosphere was great. Very small but authentic and I would recommend anyone to try. Overall I will return in the future.
I've been hearing good things about this place. It always smells good when you drive by. I finally decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed at all. The food here was hot and fresh. I really enjoyed it.
It's always great and inviting. Service is very quick and I visited during lunch hour. Will definitely be coming back.
We really enjoyed our food here. I feel like they have some really unique dishes. My favorite is their hotpots.
We have gotten take out a very times during covid and it’s not the same. Food is off, items are missing, or the completely wrong dish is in the to-go bag. I know this time is hard on restaurants which is why I have been reluctant to make a review, but the “new normal” model should have improved my now not getting worse. What really pushed me over today was finding a spiral like METAL SHAVING in my watery undercooked curry (that didn’t have rice as ordered too but I am not shocked an item was forgotten because it is so standard lately)I am just happy I found it while chewing rather than choking or it cutting my gums.
Always great food at Tong's! Been coming here for years! Not the cheapest Thai but well worth the price of admission!
Delicious Pad see ew! Great Bobba Tea! Excellent service.
A crazy cool place to dine. With beautiful decore inside and out. The meal prices here are literally give-a-way. Which was perfectly cooked and seasoned to my requested taste. I have added Tong's to my new favorite list....
Tong's is the best in SA. I have ordered take-out and dined in probably over 20 times and NEVER had an issue with food or with service. I don't get some of the reviews on here.. Anyways, I appreciate that they are taking the health of their customers into consideration by not allowing dine-in service. Dine-in customers are an additional vector for the virus to travel, so by limiting that, this is one of the safer restaurants to get food from during the pandemic.
I expect more for the price they charge I frequent alot of thai restaurants picked up food a few times it's ok not great but ok
This is my favorite place for vietnamese food. A couple of my favs are the crab corn soup with a ridiculous amount of real crab meat. Not to be confused with crab supreme, a noodle dish which is also a favorite. The bon Xoa crepe substitute pork for the chicken. And of course the ubiquitous spring rolls, the good ones, so hot they burn the roof of your mouth in a good way.
One of the best Thai restaurant in town. Taste was perfect and the amount was generous too. The complimentary potato soup at the start tastes very good as well. Price is bit on the higher side.
Was craving some decent fried rice so I tried this restaurant for the first time, got fried rice with chicken and pineapple, and white spring rolls. The spring rolls were overstuffed so they had all split and were falling apart as I ate them, but they still tasted really good regardless. The rice was kind of lacking in flavor (nothing a little soy sauce couldn't fix) but almost made up for it with a good amount of chicken and pineapple. Would definitely like to try the restaurant again.
This place was great. The environment was inviting and intimate. The service was excellent. We got our food quickly, and it was delicious. And the prices were very reasonable for the quality of experience we had. Definitely recommend, and we will be back.
Great service. Fast delicious food
Quality Meals at this location - super tasty. Nice place to think about business. I'll return with my coworkers. The bill was good for how much you get.
Sake bombs were awesome! The food was really spicy though. Like go in spicy come out spicy laugh out loud!!! 🤒
Awesome food, great selection, wonderful staff. Will definitely be back!
The food was delicious, we tried several different things. Service was good. The only problem were a couple of little gnats or something were flying around that eventually ended up in the wine!! Yuck!! 😝Also the menu was a bit confusing...as you can see it says Fried Rice, but in parentheses below it says (rice not included). HUH??!! 🤔😮🤣😂 We forgot to question them about it, but we got a good laugh!
We ordered lunch menu, the quantity was quite less compared to other thai place. The spring roll was awesome, the red curry taste was not quite expected, the greavy was a bit thick and a bit salty. The chicken slices in the fried rice is a bit chewey. The server was friendly when she hard no one came to refill our coke she offered takeout of coke.
So yummy and delish!! They know us by name when we order. Love the tarro bubble teas! Sticky mango rice. My teens love the lemon chicken, I always order something Thai and different. Thank you for great service and food.
They have become my fave Thai place in town!! I finally found a restaurant that has hot oil that’s actually spicy. Also, the milk tea boba was wonderful! And let’s not forget about their 10/10 customer service and overall attentiveness.
Great food and service. Decor takes me back to my time in Thailand. Glad the weather is getting a little cooler so we can sit outside and enjoy the water features.
First time here, had the seafood combo fried rice and the crab claws appetizer. Both good. Crab claws were really good! Good service too.
I have been to this restaurant every time I visited San Antonio because the flavor of the food and the menu is very good. However they have expanded the restaurant, but have not increased the staff. The service was very slow, we waited 20 minutes to receive our drinks and order our food, we had been seated 5 of us with a little boy who was very tired, and fallen asleep. At this point we were asked very rudely how many were in our party and then told us we must move as they had a party of 11 that needed our table. They were happy to let us leave and did not want our business as we were a smaller party. I will not return
Fantastic place! We were very surprised. The atmosphere and decor is very well thought of. From the outside patio to inside fish tanks. The service was excellent and fast - not too fast though as it’s never a good sign. The Sa-Tay (grilled chicken) was more than delicious. We enjoyed both of our meals. The ginger drink was amazing as well. Everything tasted very fresh! Will definitely be back! Reminds me of fresh food in Thailand! Prices are slightly above your average Thai restaurant but definitely worth it.
Atmosphere was relaxing. Food was excellent ! Very nice wait staff!
I always love the relaxing atmosphere and laid back air of this place. The have my all time favorite sushi roll, the Mango roll. Everything I have eaten, over the last 12 years, has been excellent. The staff is friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend even if it's our of your way, I drive 30 minutes to easy here.
SO GOOD! Quarantine Comfort Food for sure. I had a terrible craving for Thai and Chinese food today after getting off work (HEB, so obviously I was starving haha) and Tong's was up on Favor for free delivery. I got the chicken fried rice, sesame chicken, fried bananas, and spring rolls and everything was heavenly and so plentiful. Chicken was juicy, rolls were stuffed, and rice was flavourful. Sesame chicken especially was worth praise, perfect balance of flavors on the sauce. The bananas were maybe the best thing I've ever eaten - fried oreos who? Highly recommend this restaurant! You guys are killing it and I can't wait to try more on the menu.
They need to work on their customer skills as a whole. Talking to 2 separate people, both in the parking lot and over the phone (which took 5 time to call before actually connecting correctly.) Both were not pleasant and rush us on the phone. If someone is ordering, you need to be more respectful. Especially if its an order on someone's behalf. I'd look for someone with much better people skills then whose on staff currently.Keep in mind that some of us are calling and ordering for quality assurance. Secret shoppers and inspectors alike.
Well it was my first time ever having Thai food, so I might not be the most qualified person to make a critic on this place, but… I really liked the food, the service was good and the place is nice, it doesn’t feel like a chain restaurant and that is great. There are a lot options on the menu, salads, soups, rice, beef, pork, poultry, etc. I tried my first cuscus here and it was yummy, everything item on the menu has a little explanation of what you are getting and the waitress will guide you to choose something that fits your taste. Price is relatively cheap for a seat at restaurant, most drinks are refill. The parking place is medium is size that could be said is its only drawback, especially since it’s full of cars, with happy customers eating inside, really the taste of the food was great.
I order from this place more than one a week the one time the get my order wrong. I speak to the manager an she is rude and condescending she told me that I was my fault an that I will not be recieving a refund. So much for loyalty and good customer service. I will be let favor know how they treat there customers.
